You can find out the addresses of all the Trek Nation/TrekToday editors on our contact page.

"What is this site best viewed with?"

The site has been tested, and should in principle work with, all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator from 2.0 onwards, as well as the Opera browser. Having said that, we do strongly recommend using Internet Explorer, as due to Netscape's inability to handle tables using both fixed and relative sizes, the main content box (the one this text is in) doesn't look nearly as good in Netscape.

The site should also work in any resolution, though we'd recommend using at least an 800*600 screen resolution.

"How do you edit your site?"

The site is maintained using our own Site Manager script, which is not available for download anywhere.

"Where do you find your news?"

Most of the news comes from a list of sites we visit every day. The rest of the news is submitted by TrekToday readers.

"Why didn't you report on that news item I sent you?"

There are a number of reasons which could explain this, including:

"Can you add a link to my site?"

Unfortunately, we do not maintain a links page at the Trek Nation. We will link to your site if you publish something we consider newsworthy, though, but that does not include just the bare fact that you opened your site.

"Can I ask you a question about running a web site?"

Sorry, but no. Unfortunately we do not have the time to teach people how to run a site. Instead, we recommend you check out these resources:

"What kind of system is the Trek Nation running on?"

The Trek Nation runs on its own dedicated server, a Celeron 500 Mhz with 256 MB of RAM running Linux and Apache.

I don't agree at all with what you said in 'Hello World!' It doesn't belong on a site like TrekToday, and I think you should apologise for what you said!"

'Hello World!', which is part of the Site Columns that are published twice a week, is our own personal soapbox on the World Wide Web. It's the only part on TrekToday that isn't related to Star Trek, and it's where the TrekToday editors have the opportunity to talk about whatever they want. As such, you should not take it as being representative of TrekToday - it's purely our own opinion, and we reserve the right to put anything we like in it.

"Do you know anything about a sixth series or an eleventh feature film?"

Nothing more than what we've already posted on TrekToday. The only series currently screening is Star Trek: Enterprise, which is aired Wednesday nights on UPN. There have been rumours about another film, but after the poor box office reception of Star Trek Nemesis, it could be a while yet before we hear anything concrete.

"[Episode Name] won't be shown here until at least two years from now! Could you tape the episode for me?"

Unfortunately, we would never be able to keep maintaining the site if we would start sending out tapes to people. You might want to try posting a message to the rec.arts.startrek.fandom newsgroup.

"[Episode Name] won't be shown here until at least two years from now! Do you know if I can download the episode from somewhere on the internet?"

No, we don't, and even if we did, we wouldn't be able to, as downloading full episodes from the internet is highly illegal, and Paramount wouldn't exactly be too happy with us.

"Congratulations with the show! I really enjoyed [Episode Name], and I think you should make many episodes like that!"
