Notes

  • Tom Bergeron announced his appearance in the episode during the 'Bob & Tom Show'. Bergeron said he will be playing an alien trader called "Damar," or something similar. His character will feature full make-up and a head cast, something that quite excited Bergeron. He said he would be appearing in the opening scene of the episode, in which we would interact with Captain Archer and "the lovely T'Pol." (January 23, 2002 - TrekToday)

  • Bergeron originally said this episode would be entitled 'Osmosis.' (January 23, 2002 - TrekToday)

  • Rumoured to feature René Auberjonois (DS9's Odo). This marks the second time a regular cast member from any of the Star Trek series will appear on Enterprise, after Ethan Phillips in the previous episode. (January 25, 2002 - TrekToday)

  • Rumoured to feature the Enterprise crew travelling to a crashed ship to obtain a substance known as duratanium from its cargo holds. But when Tucker and T'Pol explore the ship, they find it is far from abandoned - when they blast open a hatch they discover an "oasis" of sorts that is inhabited by a race called the Kantare. Initially, relations are very friendly, and the Enterprise crew agree to help the Kantare get away from the planet their shipped is trapped on - but then they uncover the terrible secret the Kantare are hiding. (January 28, 2002 - TrekToday)

  • Features romance for Tucker. Connor Trinneer: "I finally get to meet a girl." (February 06, 2002 - TrekToday)

  • Rene Auberjonois: "It's an interesting, very nice character; I don't wear any heavy makeup. I'm an alien but I have, sort of, spots on my forehead so it took a lot less time than Odo. [...] My two big scenes were with Scott [Bakula], which were great because he's one of the warmest, most welcoming [actors]. He has really influenced the whole feeling the show." (February 08, 2002 - TrekToday)
